What's Happening at the Library?

Most Popular Children's Fiction: The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. Demigod Percy Jackson, still with no memory, and his new friends from Camp Jupiter, Hazel and Frank, go on a quest to free Death, but their bigger task is to unite the Greek and Roman camps so that the Prophecy of Seven can be fulfilled.

Hungry for more Hunger Games?: On Saturday, April 7 at 1:30, the Amherst Town Library will be hosting the 1^st Annual Hunger Games for the Amherst District! Come to the library for fun and prizes.  Activities include: Nerf archery/sharpshooting, face paint, and trivia games. Enter their raffle for prizes, including t-shirts, posters, and buttons! No need to register and "may the odds be ever in your favor!"

The Friends of the Amherst Town Library will be hosting a reception on April 22nd from 2-4 p.m. Please join us and many of these talented artists and see how many of the scenes you can recognize.

Right Here in New Hampshire Art Exhibit: Beautiful artwork of New Hampshire scenery will be on display at The Amherst Town Library during the month of April.

Now Accepting Library Page Applications: The Amherst Town Library offers page internships to students in local high schools. Page positions are filled for two or three years, depending on the date of hire, and culminate in August of the respective senior year. The full job description and application are available here. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, April 23, 2012.
