What's Happening at the Library?

The library is holding a museum trip, book discussions and needs legos.

Here is what we have going on at the Amherst Town Library this week:

Most Popular Book: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. In a future North America, where the rulers of Panem maintain control through an annual televised survival competition pitting young people from each of the twelve districts against one another, sixteen-year-old Katniss's skills are put to the test when she voluntarily takes her younger sister's place.

The Friends of the Library will sponsor a trip to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on Wednesday, March 7. Price: $40 (includes coach, ISG admission, and driver’s gratuity). Among the free public tours are an Introductory talk, an Architecture tour, and a Collection Highlights tour. Departs at 9:15 from the Meeting Place (Rte. 101, Amherst) and returns at 5:00. More information here.

For their upcoming LEGO free-for-all, (and for future programs) the library needs your donations of gently used LEGOS. Do you have some you could spare? Talk to Miss Sarah or Miss Sue! 673-2288 orshydorn@amherst.lib.nh.us.
