100-Car Pileup Reported on I-93 in NH

Chaos erupted on Interstate 93 in Ashland Friday morning when a snow squall caused a huge pileup on I-93.

Between 50 and 100 cars were involved in the crash, according to multiple reports. Multiple people were hospitalized. There were no immediate reports of fatalities. At least one vehicle caught fire.

Scores of drivers were left stranded.

Ashland is a gateway to the North Country of New Hampshire. On weekends it’s typically packed with people heading to the White Mountain National Forest or several ski resorts.
