The sweeps, according to police, were conducted on May 9, May 26, June 3, June 6, June 8, June 10, and June 23, 2016.
“The result has been that on many occasions when undercover officers attempt to contact a person offering prostitution services or are contacted by a person looking to solicit a prostitute, they refuse to commit these crimes in Lebanon because of the recent press and the potential of getting caught,” according to police. “That is proof positive that our investigative initiatives are successful and we are discouraging this activity in our community.”
Eight others from Vermont were also arrested. Read about their charges, see their booking photos, and read the full statement from Lebanon Police here.
