2014 Bedford Library Foundation Fall Fundraising Gala
Bedford Library Foundation Fall Fundraising Gala features Theatre KAPOW

The Annual Bedford Public Library Foundation Fall Fundraising Gala will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 with Theatre KAPOW presenting CHEKOV. A wine and hors d’oeuvres reception will begin at 5:00 pm and the plays will begin at 6:00 pm.
Founded in 2008, tKAPOW is an ensemble theatre company which focuses on the presentation of great works of dramatic literature from across ages and cultures. Now in its seventh season, tKAPOW has established a reputation for presenting important dramatic literature including productions by August Strindberg, Henrik Ibsen, Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Sarah Ruhl, and Tony Kushner.
Join tKAPOW for a romp through Chekhov’s lighter side, as they present three of his popular farces in one fast-paced 50 minutes of refined absurdity and Russian style. Including The Proposal, A Reluctant Tragic Hero, and Swan Song. These short plays are at once grandly melodramatic and bitingly comic, with a parody of Russian angst as the common theme.
