Mullen: The 2020 Campaign Season Begins
Incumbent state Rep. Sue Mullen offers this letter explaining why she is seeking another term in the House.

To the Editor:
On June 3 I filed my Declaration of Candidacy to run for re-election to the NH House of Representatives. In the process of completing my first term, I remain committed to the promises I made to the voters when I ran for office two years ago.
I promised to conduct myself with respect and civility in both agreement and disagreement.
I promised to engage with members of the community and to act as a liaison in bringing your concerns to Concord.
I promised to devote my attention to issues that affect us all: education, substance abuse, senior citizens, and mental health.
Now, I am asking for the opportunity to continue the work that has begun.
Bedford is a vibrant, diverse community that reflects the abundance of talent and generosity of its citizens. I love our town, and I am proud to represent the ideals that we share: the value of hard work, fairness, open mindedness, and concern for all.
There has never been a more important time in our lives to put the petty grievances of partisan politics aside. Weaponizing the word “Republican” or “Democrat” serves no one. As we move towards the 2020 election, I hope we all remember that together we can do a whole lot more.

I would appreciate your support as I work to put People Before Politics, Again.
Best wishes to all,
