312 Grams of Heroin Taken Off NH Streets

Eight-month multi-agency investigation leads to charges.

The Manchester Police and New Hampshire State Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, capping off a multiple month investigation into drug dealing in the Queen City, arrested three men on March 3.

Christopher Chapman, 33, (pictured without the beard), and Alfredo Valentin, 43, both of Manchester, were arrested by a SWAT team on charges. A third man was arrested in Massachusetts, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

Chapman was arrested outside of the Hillsborough County Superior Courthouse at 9 a.m. on a warrant for sale of a controlled drug. Police later executed a search warrant of his home on Lawton Street and allegedly found 12.8 grams of heroin, 4-8 mg of Suboxone, and more than $16,000 in cash. Additional charges of possession with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled drug were issued against Chapman later.

Valentin was arrested outside the Lawton Street apartment and charged with interception and disclosure of telecommunication or oral communication prohibited.

“Valentin allegedly became hostile toward the police officers on scene and refused to leave the area,” according to O’Keefe. “Next, he allegedly began audio recording a conversation between two police officers involved in the investigation. New Hampshire requires two party consent when audio recording individuals, so Valentin was immediately placed into custody and transported to police headquarters.”

Mass. State Police’s Drug Task Force found the third subject, whose name was not released, in Lawrence, MA. That man was allegedly in possession of a fraudulent ID and “has yet to be positively identified,” according to O’Keefe. He was allegedly in possession of more than 300 grams of heroin or about $36,000 worth.

“The professionalism, multi-jurisdictional team work and hard work paid off yesterday when investigators removed over 312 grams of heroin off of the streets of New Hampshire and Massachusetts,” he noted it.
