5 Things You Need To Know Today: June 1
Happy June, everyone! See why yesterday was a great day to be a Bulldog, why today is your best opportunity to grill up some burgers and dogs, and much more.

1. Hanover, and over again. Not only did the Bedford High School boys tennis team secure its third-straight Division II boys tennis crown yesterday by edging Hanover, 5-4, but the BHS baseball team defeated Hanover, 5-2, to advance to the quarterfinals of the D-II tournament. Apparently, it was a great day to be a Bulldog, because the BHS boys lacrosse team crushed Dover, 17-4, to reach the semifinals of the D-II LAX tourney.
2. The weatherman says ... A pleasant way to head into the weekend, with a 74 degree high and a mix of sunshine and light clouds throughout the day. It won't last long, however, as rain is expected throughout the weekend.
3. The Strawberry Festival is Here! Join the Friends of Bedford Town Cemeteries tomorrow, at the Bedford Town Pool Fields, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a delicious taste of the areas best strawberries. 4. Welcome Mitt to Bedford. Though we won't know until November if he'll be the next president of the United States, Republican candidate Mitt Romney has chosen Bedford as the site of his New Hampshire campaign headquarters. His son, Tagg, will be in town tomorrow at 10 a.m. to lead a rally and subsequent phone bank and door-to-door effort. For more information,
5. Graduates in the news. The following Bedford residents graduated from Quinnipiac University during the 81st undergraduate commencement exercises on May 20.
