80 mph in a 30 Zone Leads to OUI Charge
Merrimack Police arrested Gregory Kieffer of Bedford this morning after a traffic on the Daniel Webster Highway.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man is due in court next month to answer to an aggravated operating under the influence of liquor charge after being arrested this morning, according to police. Gregory Kieffer, 23, of Bedford, was arrested on Sept. 30, 2016, at a little after 12:30 a.m. after a police officer in Merrimack allegedly observed a 2010 Audi4 station wagon traveling at a high rate of speed on the Daniel Webster Highway.

“When the officer was able to catch up to the vehicle it was clocked at 80 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone,” according to Lt. Ted Dillon of the Merrimack Police Department. “The officer did stop the vehicle and spoke to the above driver, Gregory Kieffer. When speaking with him, he did have signs of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. After a brief investigation Mr. Kieffer was placed under arrest.”

Kieffer was processed and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due in Merrimack District Court on Oct. 13.
