Cops: Romunada Washington of Lebanon strangled, then struck Adam Dezaine of Keene; while being treated, Dezaine smashed a hospital window.
MANCHESTER, NH — Even though the popular U2 song suggests that “all is quiet on New Year's Day,” that was not the case at a New Hampshire hotel or a hospital emergency room yesterday, according to police. Two men, according to police, were arrested after separate incidents in the Queen City. Romunada Washington, 23, pictured left, of West Lebanon, was arrested on Jan. 1, 2018, on two felony counts second-degree assault after allegedly strangling Adam Dezaine, 24, of Keene, as well as reportedly striking him with a glass bottle in the head. Dezaine was arrested later for reckless conduct, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

“Dezaine was being treated for a laceration to his head when he started to act disorderly inside of the hospital,” O’Keefe alleged. “(An) officer witnessed Dezaine punch out an interior hospital window while working a security detail inside the emergency department. The officer and two hospital security staff members narrowly missed being struck in the face by shards of glass as they momentarily backed away from the area.”
Dezaine’s alleged actions prompted further medical treatment to his hand and arm. Afterward, he was arrested, processed, and released on $1,250 cash bail.
