Aitken: People to the State: It's Unconstitutional!
The attempt to take over housing at the state level seems, well, so Bolshevik

There are about 900 bills waiting to have hearings in the legislature.
This linked file contains the ones we feel are the most troublesome regarding the state trying to manage local zoning using the phony housing crisis as justification, and the commuter rail boondoggle which we believe is in the 10-year transportation plan.
While our legislature is not favoring commuter rail, our whole federal delegation is pushing for it. It must be stopped! Sununu hasn't tried to stop it either! It would hurt the poor, those in the north country, or even just north of Manchester, the most. It is even being used as an excuse for more high-density housing near stations, to justify its existence!

As for housing, beautiful Conway NH was once deemed the most crime-ridden town in NH. The fact they have continued to flood it with high-density, low-income housing is a contributing factor. During a recent visit to a hotel on the 'strip', all we heard were sirens all night long! We thought we were in NYC...
What kind of Republican would put his or her name to these bills? Call these bills what you will — socialistic, communistic, cronyism, or just plain Bolshevik regionalism, they are NOT in keeping with the Republican platform!
