ALERT: Burglary Investigation in Progress

UPDATED: Bedford Police are looking for a white man and a woman in an unknown vehicle.

BEDFORD, NH - Police are asking residents to "avoid the area of Meadow Road" because officers are looking for burglary suspects, specifically, a white male and female in an unknown vehicle, according to an alert.

The alert was issued at around 12:30 p.m. on July 15, 2016.

According to the alert, a white man was wearing printed T-shirt and has brown hair; the white female was wearing a hoodie. They allegedly left a house on foot when confronted by homeowner, according to the alert.

Police are asking residents of the area to "remain in your homes" as a K-9 unit scours the area looking for the burglary suspects. A shelter was set up but was lifted at around 3:20 p.m.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area tonight," according to a third alert.
