Alleged Bike Burglar Caught

Teen arrested while riding allegedly stolen BMX bike on Bridge Street in Manchester.

A local teen was arrested on Friday after allegedly riding on a stolen BMX bicycle.

Anfernee Fuentes King, 17, of Manchester, was arrested on April 3, 2015, and charged with receiving stolen property.

According to a report, Cycles Etc. on Second Street was burglarized around 2:40 a.m. on April 3. A perp or perps smashed the store’s front window and stole two HARO-BMX style bikes from the store.

At around 8:30 a.m., an officer on Bridge Street near Elm reportedly saw a man with a black BMX bike with the HARO brand on the side. The man, later identified as King, was stopped and questioned about the bike. During the course of the investigation, the officer allegedly found the original sale tag for the bike and arrested King.

The teen was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Manchester District Court on May 8.
