Alleged Drunk Driver Arrested After Crash on I-293
Paul Hannan of Derry faces multiple charges.
A local man is facing multiple charges after allegedly striking a vehicle on I-93, fleeing, and then crashing into a second vehicle onI-293.
Paul R. Hanna, 51, of Derry, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and conduct after an accident.
According to a press statement, state troopers were called to a crash at around 1:50 p.m. on Nov. 27, between Exits 1 and 2 on the northbound side of I-293 in Manchester.

At the scene, officers found an SUV and a Mercedes Benz blocking the center and left lanes.
Witnesses alleged that the driver of the Mercedes was “traveling at an excessive speed” on I-93 north. At the junction with I-293, the Mercedes struck a vehicle, left the scene, and continued driving north, according to witnesses. Just before Exit 2, the Mercedes struck another vehicle and then crashed into a guardrail.

The driver of the Mercedes, Hannan, was arrested.
I-293 was down to one lane for about an hour while the accident was investigated and documented, and vehicles were removed.
