Alleged Wilton Drug Dealer Arrested

Bedford Police arrested William Toon of Wilton after a DWI accident on June 11; after a search warrant, he faces drug charges, too.

BEDFORD, NH – A New Hampshire man is facing numerous charges after being arrested twice in one month, according to police.

William Toon, 20, of Wilton, was arrested on June 11, 2016, on a driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol charge after a single vehicle crash on Route 101.

On June 28, Toon was arrested again by Wilton Police and transferred to Bedford on possession of controlled/narcotic drugs and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs with intent to distribute, both felonies, as well as possession of controlled/narcotic drugs and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs in a motor vehicle.

Police were sent to a single vehicle crash on Route 101 on June 11, after a vehicle drove off the road an into a utility pole. The driver – Toon – was arrested for DWI and released.

However, while at the scene, police believed that Toon’s vehicle contained “additional drug paraphernalia and other related items” and they impounded the vehicle and applied for a search warrant, which was later granted, according to Chief John Bryfonski.

After the search, additional charges were filed against Toon. He was arrested in Wilton and processed in Bedford. He was held on $5,000 cash bail and will be arraigned in Merrimack District Court at a later date.
