MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police have taken a 30-year-old man into custody following a SWAT operation linked to two separate violent incidents in the city earlier this month.
Ivan Gonzalez Acevedo, 30, was arrested without incident on Friday at an apartment located at 377 Manchester St. Members of the department's Special Enforcement Division tracked Gonzalez Acevedo to the residence, after which detectives secured a search warrant for the property.
Police also arrested 32-year-old Heather Dunnington at the scene on an outstanding superior court warrant for a felony drug charge. A search of the apartment yielded illegal drugs, ammunition, and a firearm that had previously been reported stolen, according to police.
Gonzalez Acevedo was wanted in connection with an assault on Oct. 9 in the 100 block of Green Street, as well as an Oct. 14 shooting in the 200 block of Cedar Street. He was also subject to an outstanding electronic bench warrant.
He now faces two counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and four counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.
Both the assault and shooting remain under active investigation. Manchester Police are asking anyone with information regarding either case to contact the Detective Division at 603-668-8711.
