BEDFORD, NH – Families looking for an active day out with their children found a wide variety of activities to try, shows to enjoy and businesses offering their services at The Expo, which took place Oct. 3 at the NH Sportsplex. This is an annual event hosted by Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, which serves Girl Scouts across New Hampshire and Vermont, which more than 800 people came out to enjoy.
Performances on the main stage included singing and dancing with Party Palace, a wild animal show from Morphs and Milestones, acrobatics by the Flying Gravity Circus, a ballet performance by Safe haven Ballet, and a giant Japanese drum show by Burlington Taiko.
The event was sponsored by the Elliot Health System, along with Day's Jewelers, Southern New Hampshire University, Casella, Machias Savings Bank, Granite State Credit Union, and Nashua Community College. Along with the performers were 71 exhibitors offering families information and activities, like the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center's traveling planetarium, several animal rescue organizations, FIRST robotics, the Exeter Fencing Academy, Winn Aero with a flight simulator, and more.
Southern New Hampshire University's School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics guided teams of children through a challenge to build a wire-controlled car that must perform certain moves. All were recognized for their skills in the challenge.
"We had an amazing time!" said Emily Peacock of Machias Savings Bank. "What a great event. My team and I really enjoyed being there and my kids had a blast. Thank you for organizing such a fun day - we will certainly plan on being back for next year's Expo."
The next Expo is planned for October 2027. For more information, contact Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains at 888-474-9686 or customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org. Anyone offering family-oriented services or entertainment is encouraged to reach out.

We Are Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
