Are Radical Groups Directing the Growth of Your Town?
We were assured that TPUDC had no 'agenda'. But let's take a deeper look.

Many are sad to see the town of Londonderry being turned into a circus...
Everyone needs to familiarize themselves with the "Congress for the New Urbanism" (CNU), a radical group which promotes Agenda2030, founded by Cuban national Andrés Duany.
How does CNU figure in local government? Many planning consultants embrace and espouse CNU's goals, in particular, Town Planning and Urban Design Collaborative, LLC of Tennessee (TPUDC-LLC). TPUDC is, as we speak, re-writing Bedford's Master Plan. Residents should be able to see the results in early fall. Will the terminology of the "new urbanists" still be present? We certainly hope not... here is why.

TPUDC's founder is a protégé of Andrés Duany. W. Brian Wright is the person who founded the group "Next Generation of New Urbanists". As of the writing of that linked article, W. Brian Wright worked for Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co.
What are some of the radical views of these groups who seem to have an inordinate amount of say in what goes on locally, despite being assured by Bedford's town manager they lack an 'agenda'? In addition to seeing a report titled “Freeways Without Futures,” from which we learned that CNU wants to tear up highways, "new urbanists" believe that your home in its rural setting is "toxic". Urbanist Brent Toderian is quoted as saying your homes on an acre are “bankrupting municipal budgets, creating epidemics of preventable diseases, and helping to cause climate change — (and) that’s how you start a conversation about why the suburbs need to change, and why more of our growth should go to infill and transit-oriented development.” ("Infill" meaning high-density apartment buildings, and "transit-oriented development" meaning stack'n'pack housing near trains )
