Armed Robbery Reported at Market

Police seek assistance with case on Sunday night at Shawn's Corner Market on Somerville Street in Manchester.

On Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at about 8:25 p.m., Manchester Police responded to Shawn’s Corner Market at 912 Somerville St. for a panic alarm.

Upon arriving, officers met with the clerk who reported that he had just been robbed, according to a police press statement. The clerk described the suspect as a white male, possibly in his 20s, approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall, with a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a crew neck white sweatshirt with a darker-colored undershirt, baggy blue jeans, and grey gloves with black tips.

According to the victim, the suspect demanded cash while armed with what appeared to be a pocket knife or box cutter. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the store with approximately $200 in cash, last seen headed easterly on Somerville Street.
