Spring is not so far away in Bedford and Amherst! The Bedford Little League will be hosting this season's player evaluations next Saturday, March 8th at the Saint Anselm's Carr Center for all registered players between 8 and 12 years of age. Players will work their way through hitting, throwing, fielding and running drills in order to prepare for the coming season and enable coaches to assess their skill level. Specific details and spring registration forms are available at bedfordll.com. Division and team assignments will be announced later in March as the league prepares for the season opening in mid-April.
The Bedford Little League consists of volunteers who work together with local businesses and parents to make each season a success for more than 600 Bedford and Amherst children. Evaluations for 8-12 year olds mark the beginning of our spring season. Volunteers are still needed to help guide this day’s high volume of attendees and make it a real success for many of our community children. Further details about how to volunteer and other league information may be found at bedfordll.com.

The league is also excited to be collecting used baseball equipment for local and regional charities this year. Have an old glove or bat sitting in storage that you would like to donate? Please bring it to our March 8th evaluations. We will repurpose this equipment for younger children within our community or to those in need from surrounding towns. We are always happy to go one step further for our children’s sake.
