Bedford High School made the grade in U.S. News’ survey of the 10 best high schools in New Hampshire.
The 2015 Best High Schools report, released this week, graded Hopkinton High School No. 1 in the Granite State. Bedford was No. 6. Here’s the top 10:
- Hopkinton High School
- Hollis-Brookline High School
- Bow High School
- Profile Senior High School
- John Stark Regional High School
- Bedford High School
- Goffstown High School
- White Mountains Regional High
- Newmarket Jr.-Sr. High School
- Keene High School

- 14:1 student-teacher ratio
- 27 college readiness score
- 62 percent proficiency in math
- 92 percent English proficiency
The national high school graduation rate is at an all-time high, according to U.S. News.
“As educators work to get even more students into caps and gowns, they are experimenting with innovative instructional methods,” U.S. News said. “Through specialized class work, high schools are facilitating teen entrepreneurs and published authors, for example. Plus, there has been a renewed interest in career and technical programs.”
