Bedford Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

New Hampshire State Police arrested 28-year-old Kevin F. Geary of Hudson on Saturday and charged him in connection with robbery on South River Road.

Geary was arrested without incident and turned over to for processing. He is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail, pending arraignment on Monday, May 14 at the Merrimack District Court.

Trooper William Burke was traveling north on Interstate 93 in Manchester around 12:05 p.m. Saturday when he identified a vehicle traveling ahead of him as matching the description of a stolen car and related bank robbery from earlier in the week in Bedford, according to a state police press release.

Burke confirmed through the registration that the vehicle, a 1999 lime green Plymouth Neon, was in fact stolen and was the one reportedly used in the Bedford bank robbery, the press release said. He stopped the vehicle on Route 293 north in Manchester in the area of Brown Avenue and arrested Geary without incident.

In addition to the warrant out of Bedford, Geary was wanted by the Hudson Police Department on a charge of receiving stolen property. He was arrested and charged by state police with receiving stolen property and the two active warrants out of Bedford and Hudson.

Bedford Police thanked the state police troopers, in addition to officers from the Hudson and Manchester police departments, who assisted in the investigation.
