Bedford Farmers' Market Opens Tonight

2012 season kicks off tonight at Benedictine Park

The Bedford Farmers' Markets opens its 2012 season tonight, roughly a half a mile from Route 101.

The market operates Tuesdays, rain or shine, from June 19 through October 16, from 3-6 p.m. each night, at Benedictine Park at 333 Wallace Road.

Meet local farmers and vendors to purchase farm fresh produce, milk, cheeses, soaps, wines, bread, eggs, baked goods, jams, flowers and more!

This year's market is bigger and better than ever, say organizers who are offering live entertainment, special activities and events for children while consumers take in the magnificent vistas Benedictine Park has to offer at the open-air market.

A special Opening Day Ceremony has been planned for tonight. The market will be opened with remarks by Executive Councilor Raymond J. Wieczorek (R-District 4).

Live music will be provided by local musician David Moore, playing several musical instruments, and Suzane Whittaker, a Bedford resident artist, will draw, paint and create original artwork.

Bedford Farmers Market Summer and Fall of 2012 is expected to be a memorable season and locals are encouraged to enjoy the fun and the food while eating local and supporting small NH farms.
