Bedford High School Holiday Concert a Hit

New tunes, timeless classics highlighted at event last week.

BEDFORD, NH - The Bedford High School Concert Band, Jazz Band and Choirs held their Ninth Annual Holiday Concert at the Bedford High School Theater on Dec. 9.

The evening began with the BHS Jazz Band performing a medley of Silent Night and Go Tell It on the Mountain, followed by Can’t Buy Me Love and Santa Baby featuring Jasmen Hunter on vocals.

The Concert Choir performed Personent Hodie and Din Don! Merrily on High while the Chamber Chor performed When Comes This Rush of Wings, Silent Night, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Jingle Bells. The Combined Choirs then performed Lullay My Liking, Gloria, Angels’ Carol, Here’s a Pretty Little Baby and A Choral Suite of Frozen with solos by students Audrey Reber, Amanda Lee, Hannah Frederick, Morgan Barnsley, Donny Crowder, Jasmen Hunter and Andrew Alvarado.

The BHS Concert Band closed out the evening with their performance of The Great Locomotive Chase, Sleigh Ride and Eiger. Thanks go to Susan Moyle, Director of Choirs, Kelsey Rienzo, Director of Bands and Brett Greene, piano accompanist.
