Bedford Historical Society to Unveil Restored 33-Star Civil War Flag at Veterans Day Ceremony
Event set for 2 p.m.

For those looking honor those who have sacrificed years and in some cases entire lives to dedicated military service, the Bedford Historical Society today hosts a Veterans Day ceremony at the historic Bedford Town Hall at 3 Meetinghouse Road.
The event, which is scheduled for 2 p.m., also features the unveiling of the historical society's estored 33-star Civil War Flag, which was donated by Richard and Mary Ellen Letarte. Unofficial Bedford town historian Doris Peck Spurway will speak on the history of the flag.
A plaque for the Town Hall, donated by Priscilla French Curry, will also be unveiled stating that the building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Anyone with military memorabilia they would like to share is welcome to bring it, and in the time-honored tradition of town gatherings, refreshments will be served.
