Bedford Man Catches Would-Be Burglar Trying to Break-in: Cops

Police are asking for the public's help after incident on Donald Street.

BEDFORD, NH - Chief John Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is actively searching for a suspect who allegedly attempted to burglarize a home in town today (Jan. 12, 2015).

Police received a report from a resident on Donald Street, who stated that a man was trying to break into his house.

The suspect fled the scene.

The man was described as a white with red hair, wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, tan pants, brown shoes, a dark blue hat, wire-rim glasses and is possibly operating an older model SUV.

“This is an open and active investigation,” Chief Bryfonski said. “Anyone who may have witnessed someone matching this description leaving the area, or who has additional information about this incident, is asked to contact the Bedford Police Department.”
