Bedford Man Indicted in Baseball Bat Attack Incident

Report: Ryan O'Day allegedly attacked a man in Manchester in July.

BEDFORD, NH — A local man was indicted this month in superior court on felony assault charges, according to a report. Ryan O’Day, 26, of Millstone Terrace in Bedford, for first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, both felonies.

According to the indictment, on July 22, 2016, O’Day allegedly struck another person in the head with a baseball bat, causing a skull fracture. Before the alleged incident, he “agreed with Ryan Kelly, Jordan Moe, and/or Paige Caloggero to commit the crime of first-degree assault” against the person, according to the indictment.

The New Hampshire Union Leader reported in January that Kelly told a judge at his arraignment of the crime that the incident was a “huge misunderstanding.”

Back in April 2014, O’Day was arrested for driving under the influence and other charges after an accident in Londonderry, according to the Derry News.
