Bedford Officer, Woman Injured In Crash
The woman suffered serious injuries when her vehicle collided with a cruiser in a Bedford intersection.

BEDFORD, NH — A woman suffered serious injuries when she collided with a police cruiser who was trying to pull over another vehicle Saturday night.
Police said a Bedford officer was in his marked cruiser around 10:15 p.m. when he tried to pull over a black sedan that had run two red lights around. The cruiser went through the intersection of South River and Kilton roads when it crashed into another vehicle. Police said the cruiser's emergency lights were on.
The crash sent the cruiser into a tree, totaling it. The officer was sent to the hospital, where he treated and released.

The driver of the other car, a 56-year-old Bedford woman, was hospitalized with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
The intersection was closed for hours into Sunday morning.
