Bedford, Other Carrabba's Raise $18K for Charities
Local eatery employee's get fit for a good cause.

It was a three-month, two-fold mission: get fit and raise money for a good cause. For 90 days, several Carrabba’s Managing Partners in the northeast region prepared for the Aug. 23 Westbrook, Maine, Tough Mudder through training and fundraising.
Tyngsboro Carrabba’s Managing Partner Gregg Whiting decided to compete in the 10-12 mile Tough Mudder backwoods obstacle course and challenged fellow northeast Managing Partners.
Eight Carrabba’s locations in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire joined the cause and together raised and donated $18,000 to the Navy SEAL Foundation, Healy’s Hero’s, and the Navy SEAL Museum.

Managing Partners Kyle Henley of the Peabody MA Carrabba’s and Danny Somaru of the Bedford Carrabba’s also competed. They all followed a vigorous training schedule – one that helped Whiting lost more than 100 pounds.
“We lost a few inches, grew stronger as a team and raised money to benefit fallen Navy Seals and their families,’ said Skip Jackson, Joint Venture Partner for the Carrabba’s Northeast Region.
