Bedford Police-Fire Substation Overwhelmingly Rejected: 2024 Update

Bedford approved placing the budget on the ballot; removing Wallace Road properties from the historic district was also rejected by voters.

ZBA Article 1: Amend the ordinance to eliminate minimum lot sizing in a subsection of the ordinance, approved, 2,999 to 720.

ZBA Article 2: Amend floodplain development ordinance to comply with the National Flood Insurance Program, approved 3,272 to 455.

ZBA Article 3: Removing 18 properties on Wallace Road from the historic district since only four were built before 1955, rejected, 1,794 to 1,952.

Article 4: $36.5 million for a new police station and fire substation on South River Road, rejected, 1,505 to 2,419.
