Bedford Police Investigating Home Burglary

The incident occurred last week on on New Boston Road. Investigators are looking for tips from the public.

BEDFORD, NH — The Bedford Police Department is investigating a home burglary from last week on New Boston Road, according to a press statement.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress for a residence on New Boston Road, near the intersection of Polly Peabody Road. Upon arrival, officers checked the exterior of the residence, but did not find anyone on the property, according to Chief John Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department.

"The homeowner stated that when she arrived home a few moments before, she found the back door of her home ajar and a back window pried open," according to the alert.

Stolen items include jewelry, a jewelry box and a home phone. Officials believe the burglary occurred sometime between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 10:40 p.m.
