Bedford Police Nab Shoplifter

Derry man was reportedly attempting to steal merchandise from Bob's Stores.

Bedford Police, responding to a shoplifting call at Bob's Stores at 95 South River Road, on Saturday, Oct. 8, arrested a Derry man and charged him with willful concealment and possession of a controlled drug.

According to police, who were alerted at 12:36 p.m., Jacob Brady-Muller, 20, of Derry, was attempting to steal from Bob's Stores when loss-prevention security  chased him out of the building and tried to get him to return the merchandise.

Muller reportedly discarded the stolen property in the Bedford mall parking lot and was soon apprehended by police near the intersection of South River Road and Park Drive.

In addition to being arrested and charged with a felony count of willful concealment, Muller had a misdemeanor charge levied against him when police found marijuana in his pocket. He also had an electronic bench warrant on him for failure to appear in Manchester District Court.

He was released on $500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court on Oct. 12 to answer to the bench warrant and in Merrimack District Court on Dec. 5 on the willful concealment and possession charges.
