Bedford Police Open House a Success
More than 100 people attended the event at the Bedford Public Safety Complex to learn how police do their jobs.
BEDFORD, NH - The Bedford Police Department hosted its fourth annual open house for the local and surrounding communities last week at the Bedford Public Safety Complex and more than 100 people were in attendance.
Chief John Bryfonski noted in a press statement that the event included a tour of the department's Incident Command Center, an interactive seat belt safety ride, and tours of the updated advanced Communications Center. A SWAT dog and the New Hampshire Fire Marshall's arson detecting dog also conducted demonstrations with their handlers. McGruff, the Bedford Police Department's mascot, was also in attendance.
"We are proud to open our doors to the general public and host the annual Open House," Bryfonski said. "It's a great way to further connect with our community and allow them to glimpse some of the high-level work we do in a safe, fun environment."
