Bedford Presbyterian Church, BeBold Host 'Break the Silence April 2​

Breakout sessions include talking about drugs and alcohol with family members and the consequences of hosting a party.

BEDFORD, NH — Calling ALL members of the Bedford Community! Join us for the 2nd Annual “Breaking the Silence” Drug and Alcohol Awareness Event at the Bedford Presbyterian Church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017, according to a press statement.

“Like last year’s successful event, this 2nd Annual “Break the Silence” event is designed to encourage families and friends to talk openly about the current dangers of drug and alcohol use,” comments, Pastor John Sawyer, of Bedford Presbyterian Church. “While the format will be similar to last year, the breakout session topics will be different so that new, additional information will be shared with the appropriate audiences,” he adds.

  • “It’s Never Too Soon To Start The Conversation” 2nd-6th Graders & their Parents learn how to talk about drugs and alcohol as a family and with friends. Led by BPD Officer, Danielle Nightingale, McKelvie Principal, Mike Fournier and McKelvie Guidance Counselor, Jodi Parsons
  • “STRAIGHT TALK” an interactive workshop for Youth (7th-12th Grade) on drug and alcohol prevention led by the BeBOLD Straight Talk Team
  • “YOU’VE BEEN SERVED-The Social Liability of Hosting a Party” led by Bedford Police Chief, John Bryfonski.

BeBOLD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit drug awareness, education and prevention coalition in Bedford, NH. The coalition includes adult and youth volunteers as well as local police, school and community professionals. BeBOLD’s mission is to prevent substance abuse in the Bedford community by educating Bedford’s adults and youth about the current dangers of all kinds of substance abuse, including alcohol, illegal drugs, prescription drugs and tobacco.
