Bedford Resident Named to Manchester Community Music School Board

Manchester Community Music School is extremely grateful for the time and talents that members of the community bring to the school’s Board of Directors. The school’s success is due in large part to the dedication and hard work by past and current Board members. We are pleased welcome two new board members – Chris Schleyer and Trinnie Houghton.
Chris is the COO and head of property management and human resources for Elm Grove Companies, which was recently recognized by Business New Hampshire Magazine as the 2013 Real Estate Business of the Year. Prior to joining Elm Grove Companies, Chris held such positions as Director of Marketing for Bainbridge Companies, Senior Leasing Manager, Corporate Trainer and Area Director for Gatehouse Group and he was most recently the Director of Property Management for Cambridge Management, responsible for a portfolio of over 2000 apartment units, and a staff of over 140 employees.
Chris is a 2013 Leadership Greater Manchester graduate. He is also a volunteer for The Way Home as a member of the non-profit’s development committee. He is guitar player, music fan, mountain biker, avid hiker and motorcycle enthusiast. Chris has been married to his wife Shane for 17 years.

Trinnie is a Partner at Sojourn Partners, in Bedford. She is a an Executive coach, team coach, and facilitator who coaches high-level executives and teams across NH, and writes numerous blogs and leadership articles on communication and culture for New Hampshire newspaper and magazine publications. She is also Co-Host of The New Hampshire Brand Project, a local radio show on WSCA 106.1FM to address culture and brand of New Hampshire’s companies. Trinnie interviews CEOs, presidents, executive directors, and founders of New Hampshire-based organizations and nonprofits and features the organization’s focus on its culture, New Hampshire culture, its mission, and the attraction and retention of its talent, leading to awareness and increased interest for doing business in New Hampshire.

Manchester Community Music School, located in historic north Manchester, is home to over 50 of New England’s finest music educators and over 1,300 students who travel throughout the year from 60 New Hampshire communities for their studies. As a cultural performance center, the school offers programs in an environment that encourages participation, interaction and enjoyment. The school is dedicated to supporting the artistic development of the community through our programs, and has awarded over $1.1 million in financial aid since its founding in 1983.
