BVI Hosts Annual Mother’s Day Celebration
A dining style for every type of mother awaits guests.

One of the most popular seasonal celebrations returns this year, offering guests a variety of ways to indulge with mothers and mother figures alike this Mother's Day.
On Sunday, May 13, the BVI will offer a dining experience suitable for every type of mother, with offerings such as a grand buffet, a four-course pre fixe dinner menu, and a special Mother’s Day a la carte menu.

- The Grand Buffet is said to be mom’s favorite and will be held in the inn’s Great Hall from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Grand Buffet is $39 per adult and $19.95 for children 4- to 10-years old, not including tax or gratuity. With six indulgent stations, some of the buffet items featured will be:
- Cold Foods: Lemon Poached Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce, Fresh Fruit and House Made Granola with Yogurt, House Made Muffins, Sweet and Savory Breads, Danishes;
- Hot Foods: Slow Roasted Herbed Chicken Breast w/ Sauce Piccatta, Cinnamon Brioche French Toast w/ Apple Butter;
- Carving Station: Maple Fennel Rubbed Virginia Ham; Garlic and Rosemary Roast Leg of Lamb; made-to-order Farm Egg Omelets; Belgian Style Waffles;
- Grand Dessert: European Chocolate Fountain surrounded by fresh baked goodies.
- The traditional four-course pre fixe dinner menu with choices will be served in the inn’s acclaimed Dining Room from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The dinner is $55 per adult and $29.95 for children 4- to 10-years old, not including tax or gratuity. Choices include, but are not limited to:
- Appetizers: Warm Grilled Asparagus Salad with Béarnaise sauce, tasso ham, citrus, black pepper & parmesan soufflé; House Cured Gravalox with Herb salad, brioche, cucumber, pickled banana peppers & dill crème fraiche;
- Salad: Petite Field Green & Baby Spinach Salad with Strawberries, cucumbers & balsamic vinaigrette;
- Entrees: Grilled Filet Mignon with garlic pommes puree, asparagus, crispy onions, & scallion herb butter; Hand Rolled Pasta Pompadoro with baby clams, native shrimp, tomato confit & thai basil;
- Desserts: Carrot Sponge Cake with Cardamon Cream Cheese Frosting, Carrot Confit & Spiced Crème Anglaise.
- The inn’s Tavern will also be open with a special a la carte menu from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. for those who desire more relaxed fare, featuring: seafood appetizers, soups, salads, mac n' cheese, a grilled Angus burger, and much more.
Reservations are required for holiday events and must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. Guests can cancel their reservations up to 72 hours prior to Mother’s Day. Cancellation beyond that point will be subject to a $25 per person cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is also subject to 9% NH tax. A non-refundable deposit is also required for parties of 8 guests or more.
