Bedford Woman Arrested for Drunk Driving

MERRIMACK, NH - A local woman was arrested yesterday for allegedly driving drunk after shopping at Shaw’s.
J J Marshall-Scott, 57, of Wentworth Drive in Bedford, was arrested on March 21, 2016, and charged with operating under the influence.

According to police, at just before 5:30 p.m., officers were tipped off by a caller who assisting a woman who had fallen in the Shaw’s parking lot on Continental Boulevard and believed that the woman might be intoxicated.
“(She) was last seen entering a vehicle shortly after being assisted to her feet,” according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department.

“Vehicle information was subsequently forwarded to police at which point officers made contact with the subject, now seated within her running motor vehicle,” according to Tarleton. “While questioning Marshall-Scott, police noted signs of possible alcohol impairment. Upon further investigation, to include voluntary field sobriety testing, it was determined that Marshall-Scott was intoxicated and she was placed under arrest.”
Marshall-Scott was charged and released on personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on April 5.
