Bedford Women’s Club Plans Coffee for Prospective Members

Group seeks 'women who are interested in fostering social and cultural relationships as well as providing scholarships and charitable contributions through club fundraising.'


The Bedford Women’s Club will welcome prospective new members at the annual coffee for new members to be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Bedford Public Library on Meetinghouse Road. Officers and board members will be present to greet those attending.
 
The Bedford Women’s Club is open to women who are interested in fostering social and cultural relationships as well as providing scholarships and charitable contributions through club fundraising. Active Membership is a category appropriate for women who can attend midday meetings. Associate Membership is a category available to Bedford women whose commitments prevent them from attending monthly meetings. Associate Members may participate in club interest groups and serve on committees.
 
Established in 1905, the Bedford Women’s Club provides an opportunity for newcomers to the area, as well as established residents, to meet socially and pursue many interests. General membership meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month from September through May unless otherwise designated.  There is usually a guest speaker at the monthly meeting.T he annual dues are $30.
