BHS Booster Club Joins Talbots for a 'Fashionable' Fundraiser

Come out and show your support for BHS athletes by shopping at Talbots in Bedford, on Tuesday, November 14th. Talbots will donate 10% of purchases that day to The Bedford Bulldogs Athletic Booster Club (BBABC). Even though it is almost 70* out there, it’s the perfect time to start updating your winter wardrobe, or even start holiday shopping – all for a good cause!

So, who is the BBABC? We are a non-profit, volunteer, parent-led organization that helps provide additional support for the Bedford High School sports teams, working alongside the Athletic Director, Corey Parker. Our goal is to help fund the needs of these teams that are outside the BHS Athletic budget. Through fundraising efforts (like this one!), teams have been able to fund clinics, and purchase additional clothing items and equipment – team tents, practice jerseys, tumble mats, championship dinners, to name a few. We are also always looking for ways to fulfill general needs that will benefit all BHS athletes, such as purchasing treadmills and other equipment in the weight room.

What else do we do? The BBABC funds all the first place winner plaques for every athlete, championship banners, as well as flowers for Senior recognition days. We also offer two different scholarships to BHS senior athletes each year. The 2017 BBABC Scholarship Award, available to current BBABC members’ families, was given to Molly McCoole and Michael Giraldi. Additionally, the 2017 Rich Beyer Scholarship, honoring this long-time Bedford resident and youth-athletic enthusiast, was presented to Molly Redman and Connor Collins.

So, come out and support BHS athletes by shopping at Talbots on November 14th – don’t forget to mention that you support the BBABC! And, also come and get involved with the Booster Club.
