Big Heroin Bust in NH: Woman Charged with Smuggling Drugs in Bra

DEA agents said they arrested drug-dealing couple Tiffany Ramos and Hector Bienvenido Mateo-Beltre.

Federal agents said they seized over 1,200 doses of heroin from a drug-dealing couple in Manchester.

Tiffany Ramos, 26, of Manchester, and Hector Bienvenido Mateo-Beltre were charged with drug possession with intent to distribute.

Authorities said Ramos sold heroin to an informant on three occasions. When she was arrested, she had about 125 grams of drugs in her bra, authorities said. Mateo-Beltre allegedly had 200 grams of heroin on him when he was arrested. Ramos faces up to 20 years in prison; Mateo-Baltre faces up to 40 years.

“DEA’s exceptional work in this case led to the removal of nearly 1200 doses of heroin from the streets of our state,” said acting U.S. Attorney Donald Feith in a statement. “Our office is committed to combatting the rise in heroin distribution in New Hampshire. We will work with our law enforcement partners to identify, investigate and prosecute those who engage in trafficking this dangerous drug.”

Gov. Maggie Hassan earlier this year declared heroin abuse “one of the most most pressing public health and safety challenges facing our state.”
