Why are you seeking elective office?

I wish to continue to serve the residents of Bedford by ensuring the delivery of the highest level of services at the lowest possible cost and continue to work hard in keeping our real estate taxes fair to all.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

We need to modernize certain public safety facilities, at the same time as maintaining and affordable level of property taxes.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have devoted numerous hours to working with the professionals that are the Town's Department Heads and Town Manager. Because I am retired, I have the time to devote my full time attention to the needs of the Town and look forward to providing the support and guidance to our staff.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

NA

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

I believe that we have responded quite well in minimizing the impact to the Town's employees without causing a large disruption in providing the level of service and public safety coverage. Our Department Managers and their staff have done a marvelous job in managing their respective staffs.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have served on all the committees that serve the Town as well as providing leadership as Chairman of the Council. I have both a wide and deep knowledge of the working aspects of all Town departments.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Listen to your conscience and act on your principles and not the popular fad of the day.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
