The new board of the Bedford Little League (BLL) has some big plans for 2014. “We’re proud to serve more than 600 children annually from both Bedford and Amherst,” says President Tony Keys, “and we are looking forward to making some improvements.”
Registration is now open on the league’s website at www.bedfordll.com where children ages 4 through 12 can join the Tee-Ball, Minor or Major Division. The registration fee is the same as last year at only $105 per child through February 22nd. A $20 late fee will be added for those that register between February 22nd and the March 8th player evaluations to be held in St. Anselm's Carr Center. Opening games will arrive in April, ahead of spring break.
The league intends to launch a new Facebook page within the coming week making it easier for team coaches and parents to share game photos and updates. They have also partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project, enabling BLL to offer a limited supply of camouflage Bedford Little League hats to players later this spring in support of our troops. And yes, they are working to bring lights to Bedford baseball! A public opinion survey is also available at www.bedfordll.com right now.
