
The Bedford New Hampshire School District received information from an unknown source that alleged there were several bomb threats placed in and around the Bedford NH High School/Middle School complex. This happened on Wednesday, Oct. 1 around 6 a.m.
Information was relayed to the Bedford Police Department by school officials, which led to an initial assessment regarding the nature of the threat.
The Superintendent of Schools for Bedford New Hampshire canceled classes. The schools were evacuated and buses carrying students to the high school were diverted to the McKelvie Intermediate School while parents were notified that school was cancelled.

A systematic search of the building interior was carried out by the New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) K-9 teams, according to a recent press release. The school grounds were also searched. The search of the grounds and interior revealed no evidence of any explosive devices. The complex was declared safe by 11:50 a.m.
All after school activities at the complex have been cancelled for the remainder of Oct. 1. A normal class schedule is anticipated for Thursday, Oct. 2.

A similar threat was received by the Bedford, MA School District and is under investigation by the Bedford, MA Police Department.
