(Bedford, NH) Bowman Place, Bedford’s newest assisted living and memory care community, is the proud recipient of an American flag that once few over the New Hampshire State House. Donated by State Senator Denise Ricciardi upon the request for a flag by Bowman Place resident and veteran Jerry Lore, a touching flag raising ceremony was held last week.
The ceremony was held on the grounds of the Bowman Place campus with more than 50 residents, families, and employees in attendance. The ceremony was truly patriotic and was accented by beautiful mountain views from Bowman Place’s courtyard as its backdrop. Adam Parker, Bowman Place’s Culinary Director served delicious food and supplied a hand-crafted ice sculpture of an eagle that he did himself for the event.
“At Bowman Place, it is very important for us to honor the men and women who served our country, many of whom live in our community” stated Alicia Nordin, Bowman Place’s Executive Director. “For Senator Ricciardi to extend such a meaningful gift to our residents and participate in our flag raising was a high point for all of us at Bowman Place.”
