UNESCO Outs Itself - Meet Jean Bernard, Agent of Change for Social Justice
UNESCO Exposed.

The most damning evidence of the IB-UNESCO-UN alliance with private foundations and corporations intent on influencing our public schools comes straight from one of its own "Agents of Change"
According to the bio at the end of her Union Leader piece, Jean Bernard "is a member of the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO. Previously, she served as one of five Americans appointed to UNESCO's Education Sector (2004-2009) and assisted in the Organization's efforts to improve the quality of education in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. She lives in Stratham, where she is the proprietor of Spectacle Learning Media."
Apparently Bernard is also a private consultant working out of a "company" she set up called Spectacle Learning Media. It appears that during the course of her work, she pushes the agenda of a political group called UNESCO. Do you see a conflict of interest here? While Ms. Bernard serves as a willing "agent of change" for a foreign group whose political goals are at odds with the US, like many other education industry consultants employed by the schools of NH, she is taking advantage of your tax dollars when she advocates buying into the International Baccalaureate, another private group. (There is an alarming pattern by private groups being allowed to milk the public dime with "consultantcies" and in the process spread their clients’ propaganda.) Among the list of her company’s partners is the World Bank, a group associated with the UN. These are world federalists who want to "globalize" the educational system. They think that government by central bankers is preferable to the current system of self-determination of nation states. (But of course this does not mean a takeover...) She is in fact, not only promoting the takeover, but parroting the very same ideas that came straight from Dewey’s club of Fabian Socialists in the 1920's (See "Turning of the Tides" by Shafer and Snow - part research and part congressional record.) We will note here that the current youth movement to "End the Fed" has had quite an effect on the globalist crowd. The Fed now has reacted by planning to come into schools to defend their existence and constitutionality. And the taxpayers will likely pay for this propaganda. Perhaps Ms. Bernard's company will be hired to "assist"?

Ms. Bernard apparently was afforded that space in the Union Leader (formerly NHs only conservative newspaper but now often giving voice to socialist organizations) to prove why "IB's association with UNESCO is hardly a school takeover plot". However her information does just the opposite. It is the best evidence yet in support of the assertion that our educational system is being used as a breeding ground for the global political agenda of UNESCO, the UN, and the interests of their various associated corporate and foundation partners.
We at least have progressed from the days when the school boards across the country have either dodged the question of the cost of IB, or outright lied to parents and taxpayers about IBO's connection to the UN/UNESCO. Now having been exposed, they must freely admit it costs, (yes we were actually once accused of making that up) and yes, it's all about UNESCO's agenda (which Bernard's piece clearly defends). It is evidence that IB subjects our public school students to a curriculum fraught with the political agenda of private organizations, foundations, and corporations, when they are supposed to be learning skills for individual academic advancement.
Ms. Bernard explains that a representative from UNESCO "meets regularly to advise the Department of State with regard to educational and other programs implemented in cooperation with UNESCO." At this point I should remind readers that neither the Department of State (of the federal government) or the State of NH are supposed to be allowed to have any say in what should be local curricular educational matters, let alone some private political organization from outside the country. No one has approved this "cooperation" locally nor did they invited their advice. But this isn't about math and reading.
The next part of her screed says "The work of UNESCO's Education Sector is grounded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, which states that "everyone has the right to education..." Whoa Nellie! This statement is at odds with our Constitution which, last I checked, was still official. As far as I know we have not yet adopted the UDHR as the guiding document for the Republic. While locally we agree to pay taxes to support the education of others by the mere act of purchasing property in our towns, there is no "right" of education written into our US Constitution. Reminder -- the UDHR was set up to protect collective rights, which are bestowed upon you at the whim of the UN, while the Constitution protects individuals rights that are inalienable and come from the mere act of being born.
She then adds "...parents have a prior right to the kind of education that shall be given their children."
Why is it then that when parents and teachers DO dare to speak up they are ridiculed and ignored and told they don't know what is best for their own children? Why is there NO academic freedom for teachers either who are forced to use laissez-faire style "best practices" that have historically failed?
She goes on to say "Since 1990, priorities for education have been framed by the global commitment to "Education for All," which works to assist nations in achieving such goals as universal access to primary education, literacy and gender equality by 2015."
We are not sure just who made this "global commitment" or who determined these priorities were necessary for a state which doesn't lack, but this mentality is why you see the UN agenda in every school, whether it subscribes to IBO or not. It is likely why you saw kindergarten mandates enforced on NH towns, to the detriment of towns that could not afford it. We currently don't know of a single place in America where children are not allowed to take advantage of public education or that blocks girls from attending public schools. And data suggests that children who attend kindergarten or pre-school did NO better in the long run, actually leveling out with others in achievment by grade 3.
"UNESCO's current emphasis on basic education in parts of the world devastated by poverty, conflict and natural disasters is not only a catalyst for economic and social development, but also a potent force against extremism."
Neither Bedford nor MV can hardly be considered in the category with "parts of the world devastated by poverty, conflict and natural disasters". However, you don't need to be poor for UNESCO to want to brainwash your children. IB openly attempts to attract the best and brightest to their mindset. And what about this claim of being a "potent force against extremism"? Did you know that a NYC school recently mandated the study of Arabic at the elementary level, in order to acheive better "standing" with IBO?

In this next paragraph, Bernard admits to the private-public partnership factor; the ideas being promoted by NGOs and funded by private foundations. This is what we know is so dangerous to public education. What makes Bill Gates an expert on education? Do parents complain to him when things go wrong? Does Gates do this in his spare time when not advocating for the righteousness of the death panels of Obamacare?
"Last May UNESCO and the U.S. State Department jointly launched the Global Partnership for Girls and Women's Education to take forward gender equality in secondary education and adult literacy. UNESCO works closely with American corporations and foundations on projects that are in our national interest. With Procter and Gamble, UNESCO supports girl's education in Senegal. With Microsoft and Intel, UNESCO and its partners are integrating new technologies into teacher training. With the Packard Foundation, UNESCO works to reduce girls' dropout rates in middle schools in Tanzania and Ethiopia."
Since when does Proctor and Gamble know anything about education? Ah but they have their willing agent and educational "consultant", Ms. Bernard, to tell schools what should be done, per UNESCO, a foreign political organization. Again this is not about curriculum but about UNESCO's rabid obsession with redistribution of the wealth (from the US to foreign countries), population control (even though population is waning), enviro-fascism (Agenda 21) and global taxation (internet, bank transactions, carbon taxes, etc).
Finally Bernard ends with the usual "social justice" lecture. Is there any question in your mind that these are "social justice" programs and the new replacement for real education?
Bernard says: "The plain truth is that UNESCO poses no threat to New Hampshire school children through its mandate to promote world peace, protect our common cultural heritage, ensure there is equal access to education, and that communities can access media to engage in civil discourse. The sum total of these efforts is the promotion of healthy communities that seek to engage globally and open up their markets to trade and the exchange of ideas. Such outcomes can only serve to benefit New Hampshire and the rest of the nation."
Another eyebrow raiser. UNESCO is laughably the self-appointed authority, overseer, and mitigator of social issues for the whole world. UNESCO may think it has a mandate to enforce "world peace" in our public schools, but it should confine its activism to private charitable groups that do not involve public dollars.
Many people recognize that through educational and environmental programs hiding under the cloak of "world peace" or "sustainability" the UN is aiming to de-industrialize wealthy nations like America. We must dumb down our standard of living in order to create a "level playing field" with other countries, making an easier transition from a sovereign republic to an EU-style system of global governance envisioned by the world federalists at the UN.
The cold truth is, UNESCO has ZERO interest in preserving the sovereign nation known as the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America. To UNESCO, nationalism is dangerous and UN leaders have long whined that parents are poisoning their children with it. No amount of UN social engineering hidden inside education on behalf of "healthy communities" can hide this fact.
In sum, it looks like everything we complained about is true. And it didn't come from us. It is not easy watching your tax dollars being used against you. It is not easy admitting you are a school official who bought a pet rock. It not easy explaining why you bought this program called IB.
Upon visiting her company's website, we discovered its connection to the World Bank. The folks at the Federal Reserve know that the youth today understand that most of our fiscal manipulation is done by the Fed, and that they are part of a private banking cartel set up unconstitutionally in 1913. The Federal Reserve is now planning to give workshops to students to justify their existence. These are in league with the same people who want universal gun bans, global carbon taxes, internet taxes, and bank transaction taxes. They want the end to anonymity on the web, stifling free speech. They have already grabbed much of our US land for "World Heritage" sites, claiming it doesn't belong to us. Don't look at what they SAY but what they DO and have BEEN doing.
"Agents of change" like Bernard are not just in schools. Currently awakened citizens in many NH towns are fighting a program called "Granite State Futures". This is nothing but another social justice program, mandated by the UN's "Agenda 21" program. It uses HUD grants to entice towns to team up regionally for the purpose of "sustainability". Compact housing, public transportation, giving up rural living, eating less meat, using less gas, and the idea that you don't own the water under your own property are all commonly desired outcomes of the "sustainability" hoax. Oh and did we mention healthcare was included there too?
Now here comes the real problem...
Public Law 101-246, enacted in 1990, provides, "No funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or any other Act shall be available for the United Nations or any specialized agency thereof which accords the Palestine Liberation Organization the same standing as member states." Moreover, Public Law 103-236, enacted in 1994, prohibits "voluntary or assessed contribution to any affiliated organization of the United Nations which grants full membership as a state to any organization or group that does not have the internationally recognized attributes of statehood."
The U.S. State Department reacted appropriately, immediately cutting off funds for the U.N. agency, which included cancelling a $60 million payment scheduled for later this month. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland stated, "We are not going to be able to continue contributing to the budget. Palestinian membership as a state in UNESCO triggers longstanding legislative restrictions which will compel the United States to refrain from making contributions to UNESCO."

NH should start taking advantage of states rights to act ethically and constitutionally. States rights must be used to banish the UN, UNESCO and their related corporate and banking interests from influencing what we do in our towns and schools. We did not agree to pay taxes to the UN. We do not wish to be subjects of global feudalism run by corporations. We do not want our children to be subject to the whims of the elitists and their foundations, whose leaders have even taken it upon themselves to suggest who should live and who should die.

It should now be crystal clear who is driving the agenda in our public schools.
