The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

In Bedford, a big issue facing our town is balancing responsible growth with maintaining our community’s unique character.

As Bedford continues to expand, we are experiencing pressure on infrastructure, schools, and services, while also facing increasing demands for housing and development. If not managed carefully, rapid growth could strain resources and affect the quality of life for our residents.

What I intend to do about it:

Encourage smart, sustainable development: I will advocate for growth that aligns with Bedford’s long-term vision and prioritizes preserving open spaces, while ensuring that new developments contribute to the community’s overall well-being.

Enhance community engagement: I aim to provide transparent communication between residents and local government, ensuring that public input is actively considered in decisions affecting growth and infrastructure.

Support improvements in local services: I will work to allocate resources efficiently to improve the capacity of our schools, roads, and public safety services to match our population’s needs without overburdening taxpayers.

By focusing on these areas and cutting the red tape, I intend to ensure that Bedford continues to thrive while preserving the charm and livability that makes our town special.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The critical differences between me and the other candidates seeking this post are rooted in my decades of leadership, commitment, and experience.

First and foremost, I have spent over three decades in the same profession, demonstrating my loyalty, perseverance, and ability to stay the course when times are tough. Unlike some candidates who may jump from one position or cause to the next, my long-standing commitment shows that I understand the importance of grit and hard work. I’ve spent my career making difficult decisions and seeing them through to successful outcomes.

Leadership isn’t just a title; it’s something you earn through years of experience and consistent results. Over the past three decades, I’ve developed the skills necessary to manage people, resources, and projects efficiently. I’ve proven that I can lead in the real world, not just in theory or talking points.

While other candidates may bring fresh ideas or new perspectives, I bring real-world results and a track record of sticking with what I start. I know how to get things done, even when the going gets tough. Leadership through experience is something that can’t be learned overnight, and that’s where I stand out.

As a Republican, I believe in smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty, but I also know that real leadership means delivering on promises and making smart, strategic decisions that benefit the community for the long term. My focus will always be on ensuring Bedford remains a thriving community, while never losing sight of the values that have shaped this town and our state.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:

My campaign is built on the principles of preserving freedom, protecting our communities, and ensuring the well-being of our citizens. Here are the issues that I stand firmly on:

Second Amendment: I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and believe in the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Our right to self-defense is fundamental, and I will work to ensure that these rights are not infringed upon by overreaching regulations.

Border Control: A nation without secure borders cannot stand. I support strong border control measures to protect our country from illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug smuggling. We need to enforce the law and ensure that immigration is fair, legal, and benefits our country.

Parental Rights: Parents, not the government, should have the primary say in how their children are raised and educated. I believe in empowering parents to make decisions that align with their values and protect their children's education from politically motivated agendas.

Pro-Life: I am proudly pro-life. I believe in the sanctity of life from conception and will stand up for the rights of the unborn. It’s crucial that we defend those who cannot defend themselves.

Low Taxes and Less Government: High taxes and excessive government regulations stifle growth and burden working families. I support policies that lower taxes, cut wasteful spending, and reduce the size of government. The government’s role should be limited to protecting individual freedoms, not interfering in every aspect of our lives.

Standing Up for Seniors and Veterans: Our seniors and veterans deserve our utmost respect and support. I will fight for policies that ensure they have access to quality healthcare, financial security, and the benefits they have earned. These individuals have contributed to our nation’s prosperity, and it is our responsibility to ensure they are cared for with dignity.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this position?

Over the past 34 years, I’ve built and sustained two successful small businesses: B.H. Labrie Landscape Co., Inc. and Drop One Portables Inc. These businesses employ over 30 people and have thrived despite economic ups and downs. Running these companies has required me to make tough decisions, balance budgets, and keep a clear focus on long-term growth—all skills that are directly transferable to public office.

I’m also an active member of the Bedford Conservation Commission, where I’ve worked to preserve the natural resources and beauty of our town. My role has given me insight into the importance of responsible land use and development, ensuring we balance growth with preserving Bedford’s character.

Through my work, I’ve gained a strong understanding of financial management, leadership, and problem-solving. I’ve faced the pressures of meeting payroll, managing resources, and navigating the complexities of regulations and taxes, giving me real-world insight into the challenges businesses and families face today.

In addition, I’ve always been committed to giving back to the community. I’ve supported local causes, worked with town officials to address issues impacting small businesses, and participated in various community improvement projects. This hands-on approach shows that I’m not just a talker—I’m a doer. I know what it takes to get things done.

The best advice ever shared with me was…

The best advice ever shared with me was from my late father, who told me to never be afraid of hard work and to stay committed, no matter the challenges. He lived by that advice and instilled in me the importance of perseverance and dedication. Whether in business, community service, or life in general, that lesson has been my guiding principle. My father's words remind me daily that success comes from sticking with your goals, even when the path gets tough.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I’m someone who believes deeply in the value of hard work, commitment, and community. For over three decades, I’ve built businesses from the ground up, employing people from our community and contributing to the local economy. I’ve always been the type of person who rolls up my sleeves and gets the job done, whether it’s in business, serving on the Bedford Conservation Commission, or working alongside neighbors to make Bedford a better place.

I am a strong conservative who stands for individual freedoms, fiscal responsibility, and preserving our American values. I believe in protecting our Second Amendment rights, ensuring that our borders are secure, and giving parents the authority to make decisions that affect their children's education. I am proudly pro-life and will always stand for the rights of the unborn. I’m committed to lower taxes, reducing government overreach, and ensuring that we remain a state where people can thrive without burdensome interference.

I also strongly believe in supporting our seniors and veterans. These are the individuals who have built this country and defended our freedoms, and it’s our duty to ensure they receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.

Ultimately, I’m not a politician; I’m a small business owner and community member who understands the challenges we all face. I bring real-world experience, leadership, and a commitment to getting things done. I’m running because I believe Bedford deserves someone who will work tirelessly to represent the interests of our community and uphold the values that matter most to us.
