Families looking for an action-packed day of activities, entertainment and hands-on experiences can head to The Expo on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NH Sportsplex in Bedford.
“We can guarantee lots of fun, plenty to do, and an amazing array of activities and exhibitors,” said Carrie Green Loszewski, vice president of engagement of Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, the host of the event and which serves Girl Scouts throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. “We want the public to see everything Girl Scouts do and more!”
The Expo brings together more than 75 exhibitors, performers and community organizations for a day designed to give children opportunities to explore, learn and have fun.
From high-flying acrobatics to giant drums, ballet, music and live animals, there will be something for children of all ages to discover. There are many new activities and exhibitors this year.
Attendees can:
·Watch the high-flying acrobatics of the Flying Gravity Circus.
·Experience the powerful rhythms of Burlington Taiko.
·Sing and dance with Party Palace and Safe Haven Ballet.
·Get up close with bugs and snakes presented by Morphs and Milestones.
·Explore hands-on activities, demonstrations and workshops throughout the arena.
·Meet a miniature horse with the Manchester Mounted Patrol and learn how to help shelter animals.
Exhibitors will include the Children’s Museum of the Northeast Kingdom, Dave & Buster’s, Elkins Fish and Game, Greenhouse Hive, Goldfish Swim School, Let’s Play Music and Art, Strawbery Banke Museum, WZID and Live Free Country radio, among others.
The event also offers families an opportunity to discover what Girl Scouting has to offer. Children can explore STEM and the outdoors, develop life skills, participate in community service, and make new friends while discovering activities that match their interests.
Families may bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from vendors at the event.
