The officers spoke with a local teen that alleged that he sold an older model BMW and an older model Ford Explorer SUV to two men. The men, however, were unhappy with the performance of the BMW and returned for a refund. The teen agreed to return their money but they had to return the vehicle first, according to the report.
“(The) two males showed up at his home, pointed a gun at him and his girlfriend, then attempted to take $400 cash from (the victim),” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. “They also took his girlfriend's cellphone, so she was unable to contact police. They left with the vehicle they were going to return.”
Yesterday, the victim and his girlfriend returned home to find the same two men from the previous incident reportedly sitting in the parking lot inside the Explorer that was sold to them the previous week, according to O’Keefe. They called police and officers followed the vehicle to the Speedway gas station on Massabesic Street and arrested both men.
Police allege that Core-Walker was in possession of 0.74 grams of cocaine and another 6.84 grams of individually wrapped packages of cocaine at the time of the arrest.
Both Alston and Core-Walker were transported to headquarters to be processed but Core-Walker allegedly “failed to comply” with processing and was sent directly to the Valley Street Jail.
Both were arraigned in court today.
According to Narragansett RI Patch, Alston was arrested in that community in April 2013 for allegedly being in possession of a knife. He was arrested by Boston Police on driving charges in 2007. Core-Walker was arrested in Georgia in 2012 for theft, according to reports online.
