Carfentanil Suspect Caught Holed Up in NH Hotel: Cops
Breaking: Preston Thorpe was arrested today after cops received a tip about where he was allegedly hiding, ending an eight day manhunt.

MANCHESTER, NH — Preston Thorpe, a California man living in Manchester who was wanted on a drug charge after three people died after overdosing on carfentanil in the Granite State recently, has been caught, according to police. Thorpe, 24, of Sentinel Court, was arrested on May 5, 2017, at around 1 p.m. at the Best Western Hotel on South Willow Street, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.
Thorpe had been on the lam for about eight days. He was captured “after an anonymous caller provided information regarding his location,” O'Keefe noted.

Thorpe was taken into custody this afternoon without incident. He is being held without bail on a possession of a controlled drug charge as well as a parole violation. Thorpe is scheduled to be arraigned on May 8, in Manchester District Court.
“Chief Nick Willard would like to thank all of the participating law enforcement agencies, both near and far and the media for the efforts put forth to apprehend Preston Thorpe,” O’Keefe added in a statement.
