Hagen thanked parents and guardians for doing a remarkable job in preparing the young people in gowns to handle the challenges and opportunities ahead.

"I have had the privilege to serve these outstanding young men and women as the principal for the past two years," Hagen said. "To all the moms and dads and guardians who over the past 18 years have nurtured and guided a son or a daughter, or sons and daughters, as they have navigated their way through childhood and then adolescence, this ceremony represents as much an accomplishment for you as it does for your graduate."
